Our Treatment Philosophy
Treating a running injury with physical therapy exercises that are specific to runners is also injury prevention training and performance training in disguise. Many of the things we do are one in the same. Running injuries are mostly repetitive stress injuries that build upon each other until it reaches tissue failure. Expanding the threshold of tissue tolerance to meet the high demands and loads of running is what it’s all about in both performance improvement and prevention of injuries. You can’t run fast, far, or forever if you have underlying imbalances in your body. Identifying and addressing these things before they become an issue is key to life long running.
